A Women's Experiential Community Arts Project to express their relationship with Bleeding ... in an art form

for women in a Red Tepee that is lined with a patchwork of women's artistic
reflections of their relationship to their womb or menstrual cycle.

The tepee will represent the Universal womb
I am an Experiential and Creative Arts Therapist.
Through my practice InformEmotion,
I want to join women together to express the power of our
creative bodies that will move women & girls to feel their connection to menstruation
using art as a process.
Art work is a wonderful language to offer other women & girls to understand their
relationship to themselves as women, to their womb, earth cycles,
sensuality and menstruation.
I am asking women to contribute to the art piece by painting the depth of
their relationship to their womb on canvas that will be patch-worked onto the lining of the tepee.
The patch that will be for each individual to express
emotional understanding of their experience of being a woman & is limitless
in possibility& unrestricted.
I only ask artists to be in their authenticity.

The lining of the tepee will be the creative canvas
The second phase of the project is to use the tepee.
The tepee will offer girls & women a space to experience the depth of their relationship to
their feminine self & other women.
The tepee will then be used to create a forum for girls& woman to explore
their ‘feeling’ emotional selves & be offered tools to understand the
connection between their emotions and physical bodies.
The art pieces that would line the red tepee and later travel to educate
teen-women about their menarche (first bleed.)
The tepee becomes a safe and sacred space to explore the beauty of emotional & physical individuality
where young women can explore the tumultuous feeling that accompany adolescence,
the transition of being girl to one who has the capacity to become mother using art
therapy as a method for personal understanding .
And it will be a space to share the wisdom of all women
& their Connection to creation - Mother Earth.

Some traditional linings were also educational
If you would be interested in contributing to this Community Arts Project - Bleeding Art - Bleeding Heart.
Please pledge to our Pozible crowd fundraiser & receive a piece of canvas to adorn the tepee.
You will receive a package with guidelines in June 2013 to complete
and will need to submit the project by October 2013.
By creating a painting on a canvas patch to line the inside of the Red Tepee you
will be contributing to the future of Women's empowerment by imbuing the next
generation with greater depth of understanding of themselves as women.

In the tradition of 'The Dinner Party,' by Judy Chicago, 1979.
But with a gentle container to create a safe space!

The money made will go toward the purchase of
the tepee,
the paint primer,
the postage,
and the sewing of the lining into a patchwork.
I have the canvas for the
lining ready to offer the artists.
We have
the plans to
make something special for future generations

Other projects I have been involved with...
White Owl Tree
In 2005 I have coordinated 18 woman
artists to create a ‘Tree of Life’ piece
linking the pathways of the
Kabbalah to form a vision of how the artists
connected to the major arcana
of the tarot that made up the boundaries of their
canvas piece into their
experience, to form a 18 unique & connected part of
the ‘White Owl
Tree’ of life puzzle. This was exhibited at Prana House in
Northcote.

Earth Mama’s
I have also been involved in the coordination & publishing of a limited print Birth
Stories Book called ‘Earth Mama’s’ to honour the local midwife who assisted the 35 woman involved .
Over the previous decade, I have worked doing facilitated art therapy for a
range of community service organisations as well as in the local community. I am
blessed to be the mother of 5 beautiful children and enjoy a rich communitylife.
We potentially only need 100 pledges!
Please note - The cost of the pledge will be taken from your bank account, but will be returned if the
$3000.00 project target is not met. And then the project will not be continued in this manner so you will not receive the items listed. BUT anything over can contribute to the next phases of this project coming alive!
